08/12/2007 Entry: "listening"

well i finally got to go on a mini vacation with my best friend and it has been beautiful...I got to go jet skiing for the first time and it was a BLAST!!! it's also been cool simply sitting by the ocean, listening to the waves, reading, writing..relaxing...still in the midst of "vacation" ...He is...it's so cool...because one thing i am continually realizing is what i have been taught and even said to others...He is omnipresent...if we simple listen/look, we will hear and see him! it's nuts that He is so tangible if we will simply reach out to him..no matter where we are...

I wanted to share something I read that is so cool! check it out!

sara- nope. its about tozer and his sermons. its a great book. i recently bought it at lifeway. one thing i didnt really get is his quote...."as a man prays, so is he." can you explain to me what that means?

ha. i was just thinking about that same thing the other day... hahaha.

I just wanted to share something I heard this past week. I was at camp with my church and the speaker said that it wasn't the absence of evil but the seeking of God that defined growing spiritually and being Christian. not that the absence of evil doesn't help, but that's not the only thing we need. It just made me think about how many areas do we just not do bad and call it Chrsitian. We need ot be seeking God in EVERY aspect of our life. just a cool thought I wanted to share=]
