12/11/2007 Entry: "the pursuit of god"

Hey everyone I want to recommend a book to you...I probably have already, but I must again: ) Request it for Christmas! :) It's called "The Pursuit Of God" by A.W. Tozer. It is completely mind blowing and will revolutionize your thinking...it's nuts...check it out!

here's a lil quote..."To have found God and to still pursue Him is the souls's paradox of love, scorned indeed by the too easliy satisfied religionist, but justified in happy experience by the children of the burning heart."

This is something that I am still learning...the depth to which we can know God is limitless, but knowing Him more is all based on our personal pursuit. Too often, we stop at salvation, and never realize that the RELATIONSHIP we were destined to have! We always hear, "it's not about religion. it's about relationship", but do we really get that? Salvation is of utmost importance...still, we were created for so much more...I think we have just begun to grace the surface of our destiny....

XOXO,
Sara Delight*

a poem--

more of.....

As I sit here all i can think about is the darkness that lies ahead

Wishing and praying that somehow I'd be dead

Depression weighs hot and heavy on my mind

Seducing my every awakening thought

Pushing forward into this life

All because I'm too damn chicken to pull the knife

I want to die or be silenced to nothing

Then no one would hear me but myself

Dwelling in my own sanitarium

In my own hell

Yes! This has been my desire

Surcomed to darkness

In my own sweet pitty

So painful, yet so sweet

No one can hear me, no one can feel me scream

People can't pay attention to what they dont hear

I become invisible...this is how i like it

I hurt, I bleed....yet I go on...I live, I hurt and I bleed....
