well i started out this morning by going to starbucks, and getting the biggest drink they had. i came home, sat my drink on the grill outside, and thought, hmmm, now THIS! is a beeeeautiful day to read outside....so i walked in got a chair, my Bible, a book, and my journal. by the time i came out, Mr. Iggy and Destiny my dogs were lapping up my coffee drink, they had knocked over...disheartened but no overcome :) i just sat down, and started reading...i was engrossed in the book "The Knowledge of the Holy" by A.W. Tozer...that is until Iggy decided to come over and cough up all the coffee he just drank on my lap and Bible...so i got up, went inside, cleaned up, and came back outside to find Iggy standing on my Bible, proudly displaying a map of Jerusalem that he tore out of my Bible...needless to say i dusted it off, and sat back down and THIS! is what i learned today :)

This book...i know i have recommended it time and time again...but it REALLY opens your eyes to the magnificence, the GLORY, and gives you a glimspe of God's greatness...

Chapter 2 God Incomprehensible
"Left to ourselves we tend immediately to reduce God to manageable terms. We want to get Him to where we can use Him, or at least know where He is when we need Him. We want a God that we can in some measure control....The god of temporary Christianity is only slightly superior to the gods of Rome and Greece, if indeed He is not actually inferior to them in that He is weak, and helpless while they at least had power"- A.W. Tozer

At first this bothered me, but the more I read, the more I realized how much we really do create a god of our imagination...we rarely realize His power is completely infinite, His glory beyond description, his person incomprehensible this side of life...it REMINDED me of how great God is...yes, i forgot. How stupid you might be thinking that you would forget the obvious...but its always been interesting to me how in the Bible prophets were sent to the people to say things like "Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God...De 4:31 "beware lest thou forget the LORD" it is repeated over and over and over...why? because we do forget...i thank God for reminding me today...He is worthy of our praise...think about it...who are we that the God of this massive universe and beyond would HEAR us...SPEAK to us...LOVE us...absolutely mind blowing...

anyway, just wanted to share that with you all...please read the book! :)

much love, Sara Delight

well i have been sick for the past few days and tonight i was too sick to get out of bed, but tired of being in bed, so i decided to watch a movie...but im not the type that is into comedies...i think my band is FAR MORE funny than any comedy i have EVER seen...most comedies bore me and don't make me laugh...im more into action or drama...things that move me...so i picked up Mother Teresa...yes, i've seen it before...and i remember being incredibly moved...and tonight...once again i found myself watching this woman GIVE HER LIFE AWAY...pour out her life to share hope with the poor...and like with anyone who has a vision to do something different than the norm, or break the mold there was opposition, rumors, obstacles...yet this woman was driven by passion, by vision, by a calling...she was unstopable!!! it was amazing, and i was convicted as i was reminded of the things Jesus REALLY said...the things that his entire existence on earth screamed of...and that is loving the poor, the needy, the widows, the orphans...to share His LOVE...and not look the other way...

so i encourage EVERYONE boy or girl, who reads this to go rent that movie...it is convicting...it is moving...

THIS TOO IS OUR CALLING...

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor" Luke 4
