So Marcus and I were walking around in Knoxville. We had just recorded something for the Franklin Graham Festival so Marcus had his guitar. We walked past this man sitting on a bench. He called for us to walk back and play for him. Marcus sat down on the bench and began jammin! A few minutes later I sang "we will live" and the man was holding down the beat by making beats on the bench! There were people outside eating at restaurants but we didn't care! we jammed all the more...
all of the sudden, this homeless man pulls out a $20 bill to give to us! we were shocked, and told him to keep it! THen he insisted, opened up Marcus' guitar case, and turned it around for people to give money! Then he threw in another $20! I couldn't believe it! Was the coolest thing I've ever seen! Here is this guy who has nothing, still he gets the heart of the artist and wants to give. he wants to show his support! it was nuts and it took me a LONG time to convince him to take it back. I told him he had to keep it cuz' he was our rythm section! :) i took a pic of him and marcus (below) he was one cool. I named him the "angel on broadway"

So things have been insanely busy!!! Friday we played 4 shows by 7:30 pm! That's a record breaker!:) yeah I was exhausted by the end of the night but we had a blast working with the Franklin Graham Festival! Playing in the schools was a lot of fun! Its not everyday a rock band comes in and interrupts math class, so the audiences had killer energy which made for killer shows :) we had a blast playing on Friday night for thousands of people! Was an experience and I have to say.. EVERY SINGLE person I met on the franklin graham staff were the coolest, friendliest people I've ever worked with.... They were so refreshing! They were like the "real Christians" that realized we r all working together to spread the love of Jesus, we r on the same team no matter out ages, how we differ in our appearance, or style of our presentation...there was no competition, just a goal n unity! Was one of the coolest, most encouraging experiences ive EVER had with the church!! All that to say they rocked n we had a great time!!!!
I'm typing this on my phone, laying in the back of our van, on our way to TN for a show tonight! My fingers r getting tired :) so I'll stop now :)

we have been putting on rock shows in public schools and I cannot explain how cool it has been... Its nuts! The kids have been amazing and showered us with love... Very cool!!!
We r playing the Franklin Grahm crusade in knoxville Friday so if anyone lives in the area come out! Will b amazing!

ok...so we played 2 shows with Dog the Bounty Hunter and can i just say he is the coolest person i've ever seen! very cool story...just cool! him, his wife, and the rest of their family are so down to earth and just really nice people! i even bought me a "dog" t-shirt :) ok, so here's the pic. enjoy :)

so i was reading this morning...decided i was going to start reading proverbs...and it's crazy...it says prov. 1:20 that Wisdom cries out in the streets...that is nuts. It's like she is right there in the midst of the business of life calling out to us... but as you continue reading you realize no one is listening at all..
i was just thinking man, i don't want to live my life with wisdom right beside me, still not hearing a word or being so blinded that i don't even see her...so then i began looking up verses on spiritual vision, and stumbled across all the things that blind us from "seeing"... it's nuts...and i don't have time to share all of it...but i think the conclusion is that we must ASK...we must SEEK to see...pray and ask God to give us vision to see things beyond the external...that we would see others as he does, that we would have his heart and LOVE like only he can....
ok, well i've got to get, but will try to share more later....

well, i am going to an antique festival today...wait, that sounds extremely boring, but in reality, it's extremely cool! they have all kinds of crazy clothes and cool things (not just antique :) lots of things that you can't just find anywhere...im taking my camera so i'll take some pics and upload them to my flikr site monday! hope you all have a marvelous weekend
