Are you a HOT SHOT?
There is this big storm outside. It’s been raining for hours, so I decided to walk out on the porch, and catch a glimpse of this killer “light” show. Just as I stepped outside, lightning shot across the sky, followed by thunder so loud, that it literally felt as if the earth shook....it was so loud, that it gave me that one feeling, everyone’s experienced, that unexpectedly shoots down your body, and makes you jump without a conscious thought...All that to say, It scared me half to death!
Then I thought, “Whoa! God! You’re freakin’ powerful, and you just scared the heck out of me!” Shortly after I walked back inside, the electricity went out....that’s when it hit me..”Ha! how funny! God can take out our electricity with His (lightning)! We are a bunch of big shots aren’t we???” and I just had to laugh, because I thought about how mankind has fashioned our world in such a way to “keep God out!” For instance, we decided that we don’t want “In God we trust” on our money...ha! look where that idea got us! It’s just funny if you think about it...we print out this paper, with our pictures on it, and whoever has the most “wins”! It’s just funny! We think we are the big shots, and in one second, with one flash of His lightning, God could shut down the whole thing!
Just my random thoughts for the night :) check out these verses...they kind of go with what I’m saying about us thinkin’ we’re cool cuz we can build a big building, or make a car, or make an air plane, or crown ourselves “king” of a nation, or even a business! No matter how “HOT shot” we think we are...God is bigger still...I like Him :)
Job 38:16-30 God asks Job,
“Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?
Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.
Where [is] the way [where] light dwelleth? and [as for] darkness, where [is] the place thereof,
That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths [to] the house thereof?
Knowest thou [it], because thou wast then born? or [because] the number of thy days [is] great?
Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
By what way is the light parted, [which] scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
To cause it to rain on the earth, [where] no man [is; on] the wilderness, wherein [there is] no man;
To satisfy the desolate and waste [ground]; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
The waters are hid as [with] a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.”
God knows. He’s not the idiot that “religion” has made Him....He is the God of all things, the seen and the unseen.

ok, I've been meaning to write about this forever..so, about two weeks ago or so I got back from Taos NM, and freakin' wow! What an experience...the people, the town, the mountains, the snow, the food, the vibe, everything...amazing!
MOST OF ALL, the INDIANS! All I have to say is that I freakin' LOVE the American Indians so much that I'd probably live on a reservation and join a tribe if I could. Then I'd get a paint horse, and ride barefoot and bareback through the open fields for hours! oh, but I really want to learn to shoot a bow and arrow! Ya'll think I'm kidding huh :) but I'm not :) WHile I was visiting them I actually thought, wow! Back in the day, you actually had to learn how to defend yourself by using skill, gained by years of practice...you had to learn the art of sword fighting, the bow n arrow, etc...today it's lame...you just pull a trigger! All that to say the Indians are cool, actually some of the coolest people I've ever met! They were great to hang out with, so KIND! OH, and they love music too! :) I bought a cool drum!
I also love the fact that they respect nature so much, and view it as God's gift to them! Why? Because they understand it's value, and man's dependence on it for survival. Think about it...when we want food, we go to McDonalds, the "Quickie Mart" or the grocery! They, on the other hand, plant seeds, and wait for food to grow so they can eat. big difference.
I've never considered myself a "tree hugger", although I've always loved trees, and appreciated their beauty, but the more I dig into the Old Testament, it's so interesting how much God gives specifics about how humans are to treat the earth, and respect it. For instance, he gives instructions to let the animals (ox that plowed the ground, etc) rest on the sabbath, to let the ground rest on the 7th year, after the flood He made a covenant not only with man, but with EARTH that He would not destroy the entire world with a flood ever again. He gives instructions on how to grow crops, told Israel not to cut down the trees when they went in to conquer a city, because the trees would supply safety and life to them...it's just nuts! I could go on forever and ever about the Old Testament's amazing wisdom, and God's passionate heart for His creation, EVERY BIT OF IT...but! I will stop with all this randomness and leave you with a couple pics from my trip!
I LOVE THE INDIANS, MOUNTAINS, and TREES! :)
oh, and all of you should plant a garden, even a small one. Its fun, and you never know...with our economy plummeting everyday like it is...well, heck, some corn, tomatoes, and green beans just might come in handy some day :)
thats all for now. live. love. rock.

“Rend your HEART, not your garments, and turn to the Lord your God:for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness!!!!” Joel 2:13
CLICK HERE TO VIEW THIS "URGENT MESSAGE" in a video blog!!
The time is here! The time is NOW, for us to humble ourselves, repent, and seek the face of God on behalf of our families, our nation, Israel, the world! We have two options...Repentance or Judgement.
We have pointed the finger, and blamed Washington for far too long! We have marched to the drum of pride, and been seduced by our own reflection. We have even quoted scriptures in an attempt to justify our laziness, and mask the fact that we, are cowards.
It is TIME! It’s time to wake up! It’s time to ADMIT that we, the “church”, HAVE SINNED! WE, ARE GUITLY OF IDOLATRY! WE, HAVE OFFENDED GOD. We, have chased the golden calf! We, have built our own tower of Babel! We, have sacrificed our children on the alter of pleasure! We, have lied! We, have cheated! We, have been immoral! We have become the addicted. We, have abandoned honor!
If we do not repent, we will continue to reap what we have sown! Judgement will come to our nation, the likes of which we have never seen before! Why? Not because God is some “grim reaper” god, who thrives on raining down fire from heaven, shaking the earth with earthquakes, or pitching hurricanes onto land in order to satisfy some weird, sadistic pleasure.
No! Judgement comes when people refuse to listen to the MANY, MANY, MANY pleadings from God. Judgement comes as a direct result of OUR ACTIONS, OUR decisions, OUR SIN.
Yes, this email is much different than any other I’ve ever written...Why? First of all, understand, I am NOT the type of person that gets satisfaction out of finding every possible verse to support some “hell, fire, and damnation” message, so that I can stand on the street corner with a mega phone, and yell! That, is NOT the spirit of this email.
These words come from a heart that God has personally called to repent. He called me to RETURN TO MY FIRST LOVE, and I can’t help but share what I believe is the message for this hour...
This email is a call to anyone who will listen, whether you are ten years old or a hundred. It is a call to FAST AND PRAY, specifically from April 8th-April 11th. It is a call for us to set aside these days specifically to raise our voices, as ONE, and pray.
What is God asking for? He simply wants our hearts, our love.
If there is anything I have been learning about God lately...it’s that He is JUST! HE IS GOOD! HE IS MERCIFUL! HE IS KIND! You see, in the past few months, after having been in one the darkest wildernesses, I began to seek God in a way I NEVER had before. Why? Because I was a broken girl. I was worn out, and dying inside. In the wilderness of life, I began to run away from God, instead of to Him. It was only when I hit rock bottom, that I looked up. I would either seek Him, or die in the desert. It was then that I opened my Bible, and began to read it, as if it was the very FIRST time. Do you know what I found? I found God.
How crazy does that sound? It’s true. As I began to read the Old Testament, I realized I had some misconceptions about who God even is....I had somehow labeled the God of the Old Testament as cool, when He’d miraculously move, but there was another aspect I couldn’t understand...He seemed violent, and almost seemed to have a bipolar opposite personality than Jesus. The more I’ve read the Old Testament, all in context, I have found a God who is “the same yesterday, today, and forever!” I found a God who is LONG SUFFERING, KIND, GENTLE, LOVING, and INSANELY PASSIONATE ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH MANKIND...What I found was so refreshing....
Yes, I found judgement, but I found JUSTICE. God is NOT ruthless! You see, I found God, the creator...He would call humanity to turn from their sin, and when they did....do you know what He would do? He would bless them, not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually! He even blessed their land, earth. I found a God who spent years calling a generation, and after MUCH calling, when the people’s sin had turned to decadence, then, He brought severe judgement...when they were sacrificing their babies on alters, when lust had consumed them so thoroughly that they acted like beast, when the children became their sex slaves, when violence covered their land without reproof, when justice was forsaken, when the blood of the innocent filled their city streets...and you know what???? Even then, HE STILL CALLED THE PEOPLE TO REPENT! HE STILL LOVED THEM! HE STILL WANTED TO RESTORE THEM, but they CHOSE to crown Decadence and Pleasure as King!
The Bible says “His mercies are new and fresh every morning!” What a promise! So here we stand, as a nation, at a decision...We can choose life or death. The choice is ours, and if we choose rebellion, we cannot then turn and yell at God when severe judgement does come....it will be due to OUR DECISIONS, NOT GODS!!! RESTORATION IS HIS HEART!!!
We need revival! We need a move of God! We need a HEART CHANGE! That is something ONLY our Creator can give! I don’t believe revival will come as a result of bigger, cooler “incognito” church buildings with bigger plasma screens, more fashion savvy church leaders, more trendy worship tunes, or when our modified youth room has its very own Starbucks coffee machine...no....it is...
“When my people, who are called by My name will HUMBLE THEMSELVES and PRAY, and seek my face, and TURN from their WICKED ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land”II Chronicles 7:14

below is a link to a quick video blog i did yesterday...its an URGENT MESSAGE, a CALL TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN TO FAST and PRAY, and RETURN TO OUR FIRST LOVE! It's time!
This is a call to begin a fast from April 8th-11th, and FAST something everyday, whether that's food, one meal a day, an entire meal one day, and something like computers, tv, radio, etc the rest...only you can know what that is...but, I think it's crucial that we take TIME we would typically spend doing one thing, and REALLY SPEND IT WITH OUR CREATOR....
God is merciful, and gracious..still, He is Just! So let us return to our first love...
