so tonight we played at a teen homeless shelter and man...it was so freakin awesome! it was just real....and i loved it. i loved the people, the rawness of the atmosphere...it was a blessing...and then some kids were teaching me and charlie how to do the "soldier boy" dance : ) while a girl played charlie's drums and layed down the beats! :) was a lot of fun...some cool cats....

Good morning everyone! Hope you all are in the Christmas spirit this year....to be honest...I don't know why but Christmas always makes me feel sad and I have yet to figure out why...so this year I decided to embrace the Christmas spirit and listen to Christmas music and I have made cookies twice...that's a biggie for me :) and...well, i still haven't done my Christmas shopping yet...that's awful i know...but last minute is just more fun...when there are no more gifts left and you have to search for them...in my subconscience i suppose i just like the challenge...at least it makes for a good excuse :) anyway, hope you all are well! :)

Hey everyone I want to recommend a book to you...I probably have already, but I must again: ) Request it for Christmas! :) It's called "The Pursuit Of God" by A.W. Tozer. It is completely mind blowing and will revolutionize your thinking...it's nuts...check it out!

here's a lil quote..."To have found God and to still pursue Him is the souls's paradox of love, scorned indeed by the too easliy satisfied religionist, but justified in happy experience by the children of the burning heart."

This is something that I am still learning...the depth to which we can know God is limitless, but knowing Him more is all based on our personal pursuit. Too often, we stop at salvation, and never realize that the RELATIONSHIP we were destined to have! We always hear, "it's not about religion. it's about relationship", but do we really get that? Salvation is of utmost importance...still, we were created for so much more...I think we have just begun to grace the surface of our destiny....

I Samuel 16:7 "...The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart"!

From Day 1 on planet earth, we are programmed to sum everyone up by outward appearance. Sure, we can often tell some things from the outward appearance, but "you cannot always judge a book by its cover". It is even cooler to me that the God of this universe puts treasures into people, far beyond the surface. That is so cool. Then He says that He uses those who have a pure heart, and hears those who call on Him out of a genuine heart. He mentions nothing about what that person is wearing, what they look like, where they are, how "religious" they are or aren't. He hears those who genuinely call on Him, whether they are sitting on a bar stool or a church pew. (Psalms 34:18)

I found it intesteing...last night I was leaving a friend's house. They live across from a Karaoke Bar...I could hear this woman singing in the distance. Then I recognized the song as "I Get On My Knees" by jacque velasquez. At first I laughed because the woman couldn't hear pitch at all, and was singing so bad, but with such confidence. Then I thought...ya know, if that lady was really singing from a genuine heart, then God would probably hear her more than any beautiful rendition we could create in Nashville or LA!

Why? Because God looks at the heart! THAT IS WHAT HE IS CONCERNED WITH...we are often quick to judge, but God is concerned with the heart above all else!

I love that about God! Dang, He is cool! :)

ok shouldn't have set EXACT day for store...but i promise, it's almost here :)

so we played "live" some new stuff from our record, as well as a song they ONLY gave us lyrics to and had us write melody and music for on the spot(circle bunny song) that's where we were hanging at TOTAL AXXESS here in Nashville ...we had a GREAT time with Walley! VERY COOL CAT! REAL! and just hip! He blessed us a lot!
